Ramah Nyang has been a business journalist, based in East Africa, since 2006.
As part of the business news team at CGTN’s Africa Bureau, he is involved in expanding nuanced, detailed, coverage of business events, economic and fiscal policy across sub-Saharan Africa.
Ramah’s covered developments in Kenya’s Capital Markets, Fiscal and Monetary Policy over the years, including coverage of the post-election violence in 2007/08, various company listings and the performance of the NSE, as well developments in Kenya’s fiscal policy from 2008 to date.
He’s interviewed various CEOs, including the Head of the largest telecommunication firm in East Africa, Safaricom, Nigeria’s former President, Goodluck Jonathan, AOL Founder Steve Case, FUBU Founder Daymond John, Executive Chair of Kiva, Julie Henna, and the outgoing head of the African Development Bank, Donald Kaberuka, among several other notable newsmakers across Africa.
