He retired from SCB in 2014 and helped establish a new wildlife Conservancy in 5,000ha of Afro-montane forest on the slopes of Mt. Kenya. Nick is a champion for the environment and the primary aim of this venture is eco-Tourism to fund a programme to save the rare mountain Bongo, of which there are only 150 individuals left in the wild.
While not running around the forest Nick does motivational talks, leadership training and security consultancies around the most challenging parts of Africa and beyond.
