Max Graham has worked in elephant research and conservation for over a decade and a half. His environment and development projects have spanned from Afghanistan to Ecuador, Kenya, Zimbabwe and Gabon.
He is the Founder and CEO of Space for Giants an organization in Kenya developing new models of conservation to combat illegal poaching, loss of habitat, human-wildlife conflict
He has a PhD from the University of Cambridge and has published numerous scientific papers on elephant behaviour, human-elephant conflict, and wildlife conservation. In 2012, he became a member of the IUCN African Elephant Specialist Group.
Max is a visiting academic of the Department of Geography at the University of Cambridge and the chairman of the Laikipia Wildlife Forum’s Conservation Committee. He has been based in north Kenya for more than a decade and speaks fluent Kiswahili.
